We are working towards identifying the mechanisms that allow tadpoles to accelerate their development in response to pond drying. We are assessing the endocrine and transcriptomic changes underlying developmental acceleration, and we are exploring the consequences of such changes to metabolism, oxidative stress and telomere dynamics.
